(CONNECT) NIKIN AG has erected a tent on the roof of its TreeHouse flagship store in Aarau, the design of which is based on a tree house. The traditional Spatz tent pitched on a wooden floor gives those who wish a chance to experience urban camping in the open air, as the clothing brand from Lenzburg writes in a press release. “The TreeHouse is not just our store, office and event space, we are also constantly developing it as an experience,” explained Nicholas Hänny, co-founder and CEO of NIKIN. “Modern retail must be more than simply a sales space today – it has to move people.”
The tent can be booked for an overnight stay on the roof terrace of “the biggest treehouse in Switzerland” via Airbnb. According to NIKIN, this offers a night under the stars in the heart of the city with “the sound of nature and a campfire atmosphere”. The first “host” booked to stay at NIKIN’s campsite is Fabian Egger. The TikTok and Instagram content creator has worked for NIKIN in the past. “I am returning to my roots with this campaign – to the TreeHouse, the Community and a company that lives and breathes sustainability,” Egger states.
Founded in 2016 by Hänny and Robin Gnehm, NIKIN is famous for its tree-planting campaign. For every product sold, NIKIN plants a tree in collaboration with its partner organization One Tree Planted. The company claims that more than 2.5 million trees have been planted worldwide to date. ce/hs
